From a former student:
"I’ve got to say, I love working with Kelly. She has a way of coaching teams through project management best practices in a way that takes concepts and approaches that should be overwhelming and turn them into something relatable and relevant to the work that I was currently engaging with. From outlining the project management phases in a visual and accessible way, to identifying an appropriate project plan format, and even presenting options for different levels of team engagement depending on project need, Kelly has helped our team to execute our work in a more effective and efficient way. I couldn’t imagine going back to my old ways and always look for ways to keep learning from her."
From a workshop participant:
“Kelly’s approach to project management training takes something that can often be nebulous or hard to grasp, and makes it deeply engaging, fun and, above all, actionable. Kelly is exceptional at making abstract concepts come to life through case-based examples that are directly applicable to your organization’s goals and activities. I left Kelly’s training feeling empowered and confident in applying a project management lens to my work to drive efficiency and greater impact.”
You may already know this: Anything worth doing in life usually begins with digging into and creating a healthy mindset. After all, the best results, the most impactful outcomes, are realized when we understand and manage our thought life, making decisions and acting from a healthy place.
In this first PMSA module, you'll finally pin down and become intimately aware of your personal core values and character strengths - the foundation to build upon as you move into discovering your primary negative beliefs you employ to sabotage yourself, especially in work situations.
Even if you've never taken a peek at your own personal core values and character strengths, or negative beliefs, this module will break down each of these into easy to follow, step-by-step videos and worksheets packed with exploration exercises to help you step into confidence and self-acceptance in any situation.
Now that you've uncovered some amazing insights into your mindset, it's time to move into looking at the overall picture of the project management world.
Here you'll learn some foundational project management terminology and definitions, including the project management value proposition for you and your organzation. We'll also take a look at the project manager traits and skills necessary for building trust and street cred, and what's required to put together a solid project team.
Sharing the top, must-execute strategies when beginning your project, this PMSA Module 3 shows you the ace-in-the-hole tactics that have helped me and many others deliver projects with a highly successful edge, garnering solid accolades along the way.
You'll learn ALL the ins and outs of creating your stakeholder management strategy, including an Agile process to identify your project stakeholders and define how you'll want to care for and manage them during your project.
You'll also be introduced to the often neglected Organization Assessment and I'll also walk you through the project governance set-up process to ensure your projects come out of the gate strong and healthy.
Once you've conquered your Stakeholder Management Strategy, your Org Environment Assessment, and project Governance Structure you'll finally be able to smoothly move into your Project Plan.
Astonishingly, newer project managers often skip the step of taking time to rigorously determine the project work to be done, which can turn into a nightmare when not unpacked all the way.
In this module, I'll set you up for sweet project dreams by demonstrating how to best break down project work and how to create an easy-on-the-eyes-and-brain project schedule enabling you and your stakeholders to reach your desired project results.
The work breakdown process and its resulting schedule will stoke your confidence and put you on track for transparency and trust with your stakeholders.
You've identified the project work and now it's time to move into PMSA Module 5.
I absolutely LOVE project plans - they have been the de facto difference in starting out on the right foot versus stumbling along and tripping up in my projects.
In Planning Your Projects A to Z, we'll take 3 lessons to go through my Project Plan template piece-by-piece so you can learn everything you need to know to write a rock-solid project plan.
I'll also uncover and shine the light on some of the places many project managers make mistakes and show you how to side-step the pitfalls to ensure you stay on track with leading your project.
Now that you're Project Plan is set up to guide your project toward the light, it's time to learn all of my Project Management Best Practices and how to use them with confidence, consistency, and clarity.
Navigate everything from Communications, to Meetings, to my special back-pocket All-in-One template - I'll lead you across the tumultuous project ocean to a calm harbor where there's an extra measure of assurance and transparency.
I'll equip you with all the tools and tactics you'll need to make a lasting impact, setting you apart from others as you create off-the-chart project results.
